Soul-Bound's Code of Conduct

Article I Golden Rule

The Golden Rule applies to all of our behavior in game and online with our relations to others. The golden rule says that we are to do unto others, as we would have others do unto us. This means that when we are online we treat everyone in a kind and respectful manner. It means we do not engage in predatory behavior in the games we play and the relationships we have with each other.

Being kind and respectful will take on different meanings in different games. If a game is pvp it is not being unkind to engage in pvp. Being nice does not mean that you must always game with someone you do not like. Being nice does not mean you cannot speak out if someone is displaying rude behavior. Part of being kind is to protect those around you.

It is not kind to watch a friend be victimized and not try to find a way to help them.

Article II. Use of Exploits

We do not believe in the use of any cheats or hacks that give an unfair advantage to one player over another in the play of the game. The use of any outside program that would give this type of advantage of one player over another goes against the golden rule. Also the use of cheat websites that list exploits is considered cheating.

This does not mean that we do not support the use of educational sites that give out information on how to improve ones ability to play the game. Use of this type of information should not be seen in any way as cheating in game play.

Article III. People of Honor

We believe in being people of honor. Being honorable means that we do not lie to others inside or outside of our community in a way that will harm them or give us an advantage over them. To be honorable is to be trustworthy. This means we do not look for ways to exploit others when they may not be as knowledgeable as we are.

As an example of this notes that there is a difference between getting a good deal from someone and totally taking advantage of them. To take advantage of someone who is weaker or less knowledgeable is not honorable.

Disclaimer: Additional rules may be added. Please check back for updates.
